Impact Scholars

Mission Statement

The Impact Scholars program is designed to recognize students who demonstrate academic excellence. The program not only recognizes merit in scholarship but provides students with an opportunity to promote and embrace belonging on and off campus.  This program brings people together from different cultures and backgrounds to work on building unity.

Being selected to receive the Impact Scholarship is an honor. It comes with responsibilities and obligations that are designed to provide students with a greater sense of belonging and membership within the Impact Scholar group; to provide students with information, expand the student’s knowledge and appreciation of all, and give students access to resources that can aid in being a successful student at Appalachian.

Scholarship Requirements

Each Impact Scholar must enroll in courses totaling at least twelve semester hours each award period and must maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
