Former Foster Care

If you’re a student interested in applying for a scholarship or grant, you’ve come to the right place.

Foster Care to Success scholarships are awarded based on a combination of merit and need, and funding levels are determined based on cost of attendance and availability of other resources. Awards range from $1,500 to $6,000 per academic year, and are renewable for up to five years if a student remains eligible. Scholarships are announced annually in June. Recipients and non-recipients are notified via email, at the email address provided in their online application.

ETV Grants

Foster Care to Success provides Education Training Vouchers (ETV) grants in nine states and the District of Columbia. As with our scholarship programs, we offer a full spectrum of support to students, including one-on-one mentoring, care packages, internship opportunities and academic coaching.

For information on or to sign up for Education Training Voucher (ETV) grants, click here. The Education Training Voucher (ETV) program awards grants to current and former foster youth to help pay for college or specialized education. ETV grants are funded by the federal government and administered by the states. In most states, eligible students may receive grants of up to $5,000 per academic year.
